As part of the FUTURAL project, the Man R\u016bpi web service is being implemented in the municipality of Jonava in Lithuania which has approximately 35,000 inhabitants. Man R\u016bpi is an adaptation of the FixMyStreet<\/strong> service already used in countries such as Belgium, the UK and Australia. It provides a digital channel for citizens to actively participate in improving their local environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does it work?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Man R\u016bpi, which translates to \u201cI Care\u201d in English, is a web service that will allow citizens in Jonava to easily report an issue, defect or problem in their local area by geolocating it on a map. Common reports may include ineffective lighting in a certain area, a fallen tree, fly-tipping, potholes etc. These reports are routed directly to the responsible department within the Jonava City Council, and the response is communicated back to the citizen. Man R\u016bpi will be accessible both via desktop and a mobile app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How it will help?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The implementation of Man R\u016bpi will help the Municipality of Jonava to quickly detect and respond to local problems more efficiently. This helps maintain a cleaner, more pleasant environment, and promotes citizen engagement with local authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working together to create a solution that meets local needs<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Since the start of the FUTURAL project, the Lisbon Council, which leads the adaptation of the web service, has been working closely with the municipality of Jonava, ensuring that the web service meets the needs at a local level. In December 2024, a joint co-creation session took place during a site visit to Jonava. The visit included further adaptations of the web service, training sessions and presentations to representatives from the municipality\u2019s nine Elderships (districts), fostering local commitment and enthusiasm for the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s next?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
