Launch Highlights and Project Updates
The Horizon Europe project FUTURAL was launched on June 15th -16th in Athens, Greece, where partners met to begin preparations on the ambitious 4-year project to transform and empower rural communities across Europe.

FUTURAL Multi-Actor Pilots (MAPs) are set up and running!
An important milestone in the FUTURAL project has been achieved! Multi-Actor Pilots have been established, and the first core group of stakeholders initiated the preliminary steps of co-creation activities planned for phase 2.

One rural vision unites all!
FUTURAL started the new year in style, with plenty of activities, news, and exciting developments! Over the first three months of 2024, the partners of the consortium have been highly active, participating in collaborative events, engaging in productive discussions and joining forces with “sister” projects that share common ground with FUTURAL. Most importantly, the MAP (Multi Actor Pilots) co-creation workshops have started, making a decisive step towards the testing phase of the Smart Solutions in the six selected rural areas !

From Smart Villages to systemic uptake: policy pathways for rural innovation
As part of the EU Rural Innovation Forum, and building on the outcomes of the Forum held in Jonava (Lithuania), this online session will bring together FUTURAL partners, sister projects, policy stakeholders and EU-level actors to exchange experiences, identify key challenges and enabling factors, and contribute to policy recommendations supporting smart rurality in the context of post-2027 EU programming debates.
